<p>Intents are a way for applications to declaratively describe their capabilities and let other applications invoke it. Sounds simple? It's still not possible today.</p> <p>LXQt is introducing intents. Inspired by Android's intents, they solve several long-standing issues on the desktop. Best of all, they are being developed as an open spec, so that other DEs can use them.</p>
