The media module is described as 'a file browser for the web' and promises a much more unified and usable experience when dealing with files on your site. But it isn't without it's problems. In this session we will take a look at the core file handling in Drupal 7, and how this is enhanced by the media module suite. We will also implement a recipe for uploading and displaying images, audio, video and other file types using, amongst other things, an HTML5 video solution. Areas covered: An overview of core file handling in Drupal 7
