Twitter Bootstrap –„Schweizer Messer“ für Webanwendungen? - Toolkit zur Gestaltung von (Python-)Webanwendungen am Beispiel von Plone - Twitter Bootstrap in Front-End, Diazo als XSL-Transformation-Server und Buildout bieten in ihrer Kombination eine ideale Möglichkeit, mit geringem Aufwand und nachhaltiger Wirkung Lösungen für Responsive Webdesign bei Verwendung von Plone, Django oder anderen Web-Anwendungen zu realisieren. Twitter Bootstrap als gut dokumentiertes, flexibles und in seiner Bedeutung wachsendes Werkzeug ermöglicht Designern und Entwicklern eine gute Zusammenarbeit. Die Macher von Twitter Bootstrab haben HTML 5, CSS, JS-Libraries, Less-Unterstützung und gute getestete Cross-Browser-Sicherheit u.a. auch für mobile Endgeräte in dem Toolkit mitgeliefert. Sein Erfolgsrezept sind die vielen vorgefertigen Oberflächenelemente, welche in Form von Widgets, Buttons, Dropdownmenus, Slides, Forms oder Tabs leicht zu integrieren sind. Aufgrund der zunehmenden Abhängigkeit von Designern und Entwicklern in Projekt-Teams bildet die Nutzung solider Frameworks die Basis des Erfolgs. Ob sich also Twitter Boostrap als „Schweizer Messer“ der Webentwickler erweisen kann, und in welcher Weise Designer und Entwickler vom Einsatz derartiger Toolkits profitieren können, zeigt dieser Vortrag vor dem Hintergrund der persönlichen Erfahrungen der Referentin mit Diazo und Plone.
