Wir haben mit VHIST ein Dateiformat entwickelt, um Workflows im Bereich Scientific Computing möglichst vollständig zu erfassen. VHIST ist PDF-kompatibel sowie PDF-unabhängig auswertbar. Wir bieten Werkzeuge, um halb- bzw. vollautomatisch VHIST-Dateien zu generieren und auszuwerten. Die Referenzimplementierung verwendet Python; Python-(scriptable)-Programme können besonders gut integriert werden.
