Building Drupal distributions is fun … but that doesn’t mean it’s trivial. A distribution defines a way to approach and build Drupal sites, and not everybody will agree on how to do this. Moving Sector from Drupal 7 to Drupal 8 allowed us to rethink and revisit the idea of building a truly modular, plug-and-play distribution - with the Sector Starter Kit in the centre and the Sector add-ons growing around it. This talk is about how we approached Sector D8 from two perspectives - providing usable and useful modular tools to our clients, and working the magic behind the scenes to make it happen, the Drupal 8 way.
