As technology and the Internet continues to advance in leaps and bounds, so does the disruption it causes our industry. This is no more evident than in the growing number of connected devices and the contexts and cultures in which they are used. As we discover solutions for each new problem, the time it takes for those ideas to transition from inception to implementation to standardisation will continue to be painfully slow. If we realise this is what the future holds, we can take steps now to prepare for and calm the disruption of impending new technologies.
