Linux goes from one success to the next, but that does not mean that we are running out of problems to solve. Community issues, hardware changes, scalability concerns, and a widening user base all present challenges to the plumbing (kernel and low-level system utility) community. This talk, an updated version of the opening keynote for the 2011 Linux Plumbers Conference, will focus on the problems we have yet to solve and the shape that some of the solutions may take.
