Python ist zu langsam für die Berechnung von komplexen Simulationen für Visual FX? Weit gefehlt! Wir stellen ein System vor, dass auf Basis des PyOpenCl Projekts von Andreas Klöckner eine Fluid Simulation umsetzt, die sich über ein Client / Server Konzept direkt in die Software 3dsmax integriert und interaktives Arbeiten ermöglicht. Dabei läuft die Simulation gleichermaßen auf allen Kombinationen aus Linux / Windows / GPU / CPU. Ein Erfahrungsbericht aus der Anwendung der PyOpenCl Library.
