Outdated information, rude warnings, bad metrics, and poor content strategy all contribute to the “Getting Stopped” experience. This talk examines several practical solutions that tech writers can use to engage readers and create a better first impression. Drawing on examples from Google’s Cloud developer documentation, I focus on how users can define solid metrics for success and encourage reader participation.
