The focus of this session will be on the journey of the containerization technology since 1974 (The First Container) to the container native storage. This Session will cover 1. The Container Technology Stack (chrootfs, namespaces, cgroups, LSM) 2. Opensource container orchestration tools like Kubernetes, docker swarm and openshift. 3. Software defined storage with containers (CNS: Container Native Storage), Storage for and in Containers. [Ceph and Gluster] 4. Introduction to Heketi and Rook [Storage Orchestrators] 5. Container Storage Interface architecture. For the takeaway for the audience, I will be showing a demo of 'how you can create persistent storage with the help of SDS and an orchestration tool. The audience will get an idea of what is the need of the persistent storage for containers and how can we achieve that. I have created and included some animations for my presentation that will help me to keep it simple & make the audience understand it in some interesting way.
